Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to servicing, diagnostics, repairs and other work carried out by SG Porsche Specialists Ltd.

1. Estimates and Authorisation

Estimates are based on the information available at the time of inspection and may be subject to change if additional faults, damage or required parts are identified during the work.

We will seek customer authorisation before carrying out additional work that would materially increase the agreed cost.

2. Diagnostic Work

Diagnostic charges relate to the time and procedures required to investigate a fault. Payment for diagnostic work is due regardless of whether the customer proceeds with the recommended repair.

In some cases further dismantling, testing or specialist procedures may be required before the exact cause or full extent of a fault can be established. Additional diagnostic work will be discussed with the customer where appropriate.

3. Parts

Parts may include Genuine Porsche parts, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or other suitable alternatives depending on availability and the option agreed with the customer.

4. Completion and Payment

Once the agreed work has been completed, or the vehicle is otherwise ready for collection, we will notify the customer using the contact details provided.

Unless alternative arrangements have been agreed in advance, invoices and other properly due charges must be paid before or at the time the vehicle is collected.

SG Porsche Specialists Ltd may retain possession of a vehicle until sums properly due for authorised work have been paid, where permitted by law.

5. Vehicle Collection and Storage Charges

Vehicles should be collected within 48 hours after the customer has been notified that the vehicle is ready for collection, unless alternative arrangements have been agreed with us in advance.

If a vehicle is not collected within this 48-hour period, SG Porsche Specialists Ltd reserves the right to charge a storage fee of £25.00 + VAT per day or part thereof. Storage charges will commence after the 48-hour collection period and may continue until the vehicle is collected.

Where a vehicle remains on our premises because an invoice or other properly due charge remains unpaid, reasonable storage charges may continue to accrue until payment is received and the vehicle is collected.

Customers who are unable to collect their vehicle within the stated period should contact us as soon as possible. Any alternative collection or storage arrangement must be agreed with SG Porsche Specialists Ltd.

6. Vehicles Left at Our Premises

Customers are responsible for removing personal belongings and valuables from their vehicle. SG Porsche Specialists Ltd cannot accept responsibility for personal items left in a vehicle except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

7. Delays and Parts Availability

Completion dates are estimates unless specifically agreed otherwise. Delays may occur due to parts availability, additional faults discovered during repair, specialist processes or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

8. Warranty and Customer-Supplied Parts

Any warranty applicable to parts or workmanship will be subject to the nature of the repair, the parts fitted and any specific warranty terms provided at the time of the work.

Where we agree to fit customer-supplied parts, SG Porsche Specialists Ltd cannot provide a warranty for the supplied part itself. Any issue arising from the quality, suitability or failure of a customer-supplied part may result in additional labour charges.

9. Existing and Unrelated Faults

Vehicles may have existing faults, wear or damage unrelated to the work requested. Carrying out a specific repair does not constitute confirmation that the vehicle is free from other faults unless this has specifically formed part of the agreed inspection or diagnostic work.

10. Road Testing

By leaving a vehicle with us, the customer authorises reasonable road testing where necessary for diagnosis, verification of repairs or assessment of vehicle operation.

11. Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including the customer's statutory consumer rights.
